President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor paid an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, where he was a hosted by the Iranian president Hassan Rouhani.

During the

official visit, from 21st to

24th November 2016, the President of the Republic of Slovenia was accompanied by Karl Erjavec, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zdravko Počivalšek, Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Robert Kokalj, General Director of the Directorate for Economic and Public Diplomacy and numerous representatives of Slovenian companies, among them a delegation of the NHZ company.

On the first day of the visit, President Pahor opened the business conference, dedicated to networking between Slovenian and Iranian companies.

During the afternoon meeting at the Iran Chamber of Commerce all the guests were addressed by Borut Pahor, President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Gholamhossein Shafeij, President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Samo Hribar MIlič, MSc, General Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, and other high representatives.

In the evening, a formal event during the official opening of the Slovenian embassy in Teheran was held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor.
